Introduction:
Combined (LF) Forklift & (LO) Order Picking Forklift Course
This combined course specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck (LF) and an order picking forklift truck (LO) safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Competence in these two units, does not in itself result in HRWL licences to operate this plant.
Forklift truck means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachments that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.
A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).
This unit requires a person operating a forklift truck to:
plan for the work/task
prepare for the work/task
perform work/task
pack up
Order picking forklift truck means an order picking forklift truck where the controls are incorporated with the lifiting media and elevate with the lifting media.
A person performing this work is required to hold an order picking forklift truck High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).

Target Audience:
For those learners wishing to obtain their High-Risk Work Licences (LF) Licence to operate a forklift truck and (LO) Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck. This combo course is to suit beginners with very little exposure to forklifts trucks and order picking forklift trucks. Also, for those learners that take a little more time to learn.
Learning Outcomes:
- Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck
- Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0004 Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck
- Can apply for High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for (LF) Forklift and (LO) Order picking forklift truck
- Learners are required to apply for both a forklift truck (LF) licence and an order picking forklift truck (LO) licence with SafeWork NSW. Visit SafeWork NSW for more information.
Learning Methods:
This course is offered face to face as a standard course delivered over 5 days. This consists of 3 days of formal training and 2 days for assessments.
All learners must complete mandatory pre-course self-paced online learning component, including practice activity prior to attending face-to-face training. It is estimated the learners would require 25-35 hours to complete the required learnings and activities.
The face-to-face component consists of 5 x 6-hour days excluding breaks, the fourth and fifth days are for the supervised final assessments.
